Clara Mae Hopper Tidwell, 81, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at her home. She was born August 25, 1937 in Myrtle to the late Willie and Elizabeth Hall Hopper. She retired from Ashley Furniture and had once worked at Union County General Hospital. She was a member of Victory Life Church in New Albany.

Funeral services will be at 10:00a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Victory Life Church with Bro. Raymond Bishop and Bro. Glen Williams officiating. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Tidwell; two daughters, Patricia McCullough (Bobby) of Hickory Flat and Miranda Boyd (Vance, Jr.) of New Albany; four sons, Carl Franklin Stinson, Jr. (Charlene) of Golden, MS, Nathaniel Stinson (Felicia) Guntown, MS, Daniel Stinson of Golden, MS and Ellis L. Stinson (Maria) of Jacksonville, FL; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Lorenda Gail Stinson and Great Lane Stinson; two sons, Timothy L. Stinson and Christopher Stinson; three sisters, Adelle Hudson, Pearl Owen and Shirley Horton; four brothers, C.W. Hopper, Collier Lee Hopper, Avon Hopper and Willie B. Hopper; one granddaughter, Jessica Rose Stinson and a great grandson, Chance Nobles.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy McCullough, Corey Stinson, Willie Stinson, Taiten Stinson and Preston Stinson.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
