Wheels of the NAHS Class of 1960 “go round and round”

Members of New Albany High School’s Class of 1960 are celebrating their 55th reunion this weekend in New Albany. The class has a very strong tradition of support for New Albany and its citizens, and members looked forward to seeing first hand how the town has fared.

The class got a grand tour of New Albany on this warm Saturday morning, which made some of the class happy to find out that the “big yellow tour bus” is air conditioned. Beginning with the Biscuits and Jam Farmer’s Market, classmates toured several sites of interest, including the Park Along the River and the new tennis courts. Many of the “out-of-towners” had not seen some of these additions to the New Albany scene.

The tour ended at the Union County Heritage Museum, where the class enjoyed a luncheon prepared by the Museum Guild, which uses the funds received from such events to augment the local museum…which will make this class particularly happy. “Round and round.”
