“Tarzan” is part of the Union County Schools theater program, which came into being under the guidance of Ken Basil, Union County Schools’ Superintendent of Education. The program is one of several extracurricular activities initiated by Basil to encourage students to attend class regularly and keep their grades up.

Students, whether they participate as actors, stage managers, ticket sellers or otherwise, must maintain good grades to be eligible to participate in the drama program, as in other available extracurricular activities sponsored by Union County Schools.
