Union Co. Supervisors’ meeting, May 9th 2016

The Union County Board of Supervisors again made quick work of its Monday, May 9th agenda.

Perhaps the most significant item of business was the approval of Chandler Rogers as Youth Court referee. He was appointed to the position by Chancery Judge Jacqueline Mask. The county board’s approval was more a confirmation than an appointment.

Routine business handled by the board included:

— Approval of 15 fee charges from the medical examiner and approval of travel and lodging expenses for the medical examiner.

— Approval of longevity pay increases for the road department.

— Approval of Brandon Clayton and Justin Williams as part-time deputies with the Union County Sheriff’s office.

–Approval of part-time employment in the road department of Tim Medlin and Anthony Barkley.
