Tanglefoot Turkey Trot is calling all turkeys…and runners

There will be two races, half marathon and 4 miler, and both will start/ finish at Trails and Treads New Albany. The course is mostly flat, and the final miles of each race will be on the Tanglefoot trail. Special prize will be given to the participant who runs in the best Thanksgiving themed costume!

Half Marathon participants will receive a long-sleeved Comfort Colors T-shirt and finisher medal. Aid stations will be located along the course at approximately every other mile. Awards will be given to top three finishers in each age group, and there will be post-race refreshments. Cost is $50 after October 15, and half marathon registration closes when it reaches 200 runners.

4 miler participants will receive a short sleeve shirt. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group, and there will be post-race refreshments. Cost is $30 after September 15.

Participants are only guaranteed a shirt if registration is received before 11/16/15.

The course will start on Bankhead street and head EAST. Runners will cross Hwy 15 and then turn right on Hillcrest Dr. The course goes back across Hwy 15 and down to Central Ave. Turn right onto Central and then 4 mile runners will turn make a left/quick right to get onto the trail. 13.1 runners will make a left/ then another left onto Carter. They will run past the sportsplex and remain on that road until it dead ends into Martintown Road. After taking a left on Martintown Rd runners will eventually take another left onto county road 88. The final left will be onto the Tanglefoot Trail, and the last 4 miles will be a straight shot back to the finish at Trails and Treads New Albany.
