Voters must be prepared for confusing ballot on November 3rd.
As a service to our readers, NAnewsweb.com has obtained and posted a sample Union County ballot for the November 3rd general election.
The five-page sample ballot, obtained from the Union County Circuit Clerk, is a combined ballot, meaning that it contains the names of all contenders for all races in all districts.
- Voters will want to pay special attention to the candidates for races in their particular voting district.
- Also, be aware that the voting machine ballot will look different from this “paper” sample ballot.
Voters should also look carefully at the section on the much-discussed Initiative 42 and Alternative Initiative 42A, the last page of the sample ballot. Note that there will be TWO voting sections on the initiative page.
- Voters wanting to vote for one of the Initiatives to become law must vote “for approval of either” in the first section, then vote “FOR” either Initiative 42 or Alternative 42A in the second voting section.
- Voters who do not want either initiative to become law will only need to vote “against both initiative measures” in the top section.
NAnewsweb has contacted all candidates in contested races and will post an informational article for Friday, October 30th. The article will include all candidates who respond to our request for information.
