Quarterly city beautification awards announced

The City of New Albany Beautification Committee presents awards each quarter honoring outstanding use of landscaping in the city.

Awards are presented in two broad categories, private homes and institutional. This quarter’s awards were presented Thursday afternoon, Sept. 13, 2018.

New Birth Community Church at 408 Clarke Street wins quarterly beautification award.

The award for private homes went to the home of Suzanne and Jim Hubbard at 401 Grant Street in east New Albany. It was presented by Beautification Committee members Jane Ford and Sandy Shaddinger.

The award for business or institutional beautification went to the New Birth Community Church at 408 Clarke Street. It was presented by Jane Ford, Sandy Shaddinger, and Jolyn Cooke of the Beautification Committee.
