Lester Perrin Drummond, 80, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Methodist Hospital – Germantown. He was born September 28, 1936 in New Albany to the late William Henry and Monta Clyette Potts Drummond.
Before retirement, he had been a District Sales Manager for MFC Services, where he had worked for forty-five years.
He was a very active member of New Albany Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon and had taught several Sunday School classes.
Funeral services will be at 1:00p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at United Funeral Service with Mike King officiating. Burial will be at Vista Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Montgomery Drummond; a daughter, Lisa Irwin of Collierville and two grandsons, Michael Irwin and Mason Irwin.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Drummond and Ronnie Drummond; four brothers, Merle, Bernard, Charles and Conner Drummond; and four sisters, Lavinia Anderson, Laverne Whitehead, Maxine McClure and Vara Bond.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 12:00p.m. till 1:00p.m. at the funeral home.
