New Albany is Levitt AMP Award winner!

Through an innovative venture philanthropy program supported by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, Levitt Pavilions offers grants, resources and support for creating opportunities for communities to experience the performing arts.

Levitt Pavilions recently announced New Albany, MS as one of its 15 national winners in the 2016 Levitt AMP Awards program.

Thank you to all of the area supporters who voted for New Albany to make this happen. Now, prepare to attend the free 10-week music series at the Park Along the River in New Albany this summer.

New Albany was initially selected as one of 40 national contenders from 22 states. Community support was key to stepping up from the initial competition round to the semi-final selection of 25 competitors. Community participation was high, and New Albany, the smallest town in the competition, received enough votes to grab the 7th position in number of votes. At that point, the city’s proposal for using the potential award was reviewed and the 15 winners selected.

Clarksdale, MS was also one of the 15 winners. Congratulations to our sister city.
