Mildred Louise Hendrix Wallis
(July 2, 1929 – May 19, 2017)

New Albany-Mildred Louise Hendrix Wallis, 87, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in New Albany. She was born July 2, 1929 in Baldwyn, MS to George W. Hendrix and Annie Mae Tollison Hendrix. She was a member of Ingomar Baptist Church. She was retired from Quartet MFG as a Kit Maker.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Clyde Pound officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Baldwyn, MS. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by a sister, Irma Jean Cook (Thomas) of Tupelo; three daughters, Deborah Evans of New Albany, Karon Chambers (Wayne) of Marietta and Angela Gitchell Bailey (Jerry) of New Albany; a son, Ronnie Wallis (Debbie) of Baldwyn; nine grandchildren, Pam Warren of New Albany, Britt Curbow (Laura) of Saltillo, Cameron Warren (Jena) of Royal, AR., Anna Kate Guin (Jamie) of Booneville, Casey Harris (Dalton) of New Albany, Debbie-Marie Koon (Tyler) of Baldwyn, Beth Wallis (Joseph Cates) of Saltillo, Ronna Wallis of Baldwyn and Heather Gammel of New Albany; eleven great grandchildren, Tyler Warren of New Albany, Kaytee-Beth Curbow of Saltillo, Aidan Warren of Royal, AR., Adysin White of Baldwyn, Colton White of Baldwyn, Kaylie Koon of Baldwyn, Gabriel Koon of Baldwyn, Tristyn Koon of Baldwyn, Baileigh White of Saltillo, Mason Cates of Saltillo and Jason Carter of Baldwyn; one honorary daughter, Patricia Swords of New Albany; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Julious M. Wallis of Baldwyn; a loving son-in-law, Ricky Evans of New Albany; and a grandson, Jason Wallis of Baldwyn.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again Monday, May 22, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
