Lois Maveline Gray Coffey

Lois Maveline Gray Coffey, 93, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 and we lost the heart of our family. A Christian with a servant’s heart, she always put others before herself. She loved with all her heart! We can only imagine the celebration in heaven…. until we meet again.
She was born June 1, 1923 in Union County to Washie Franklin Gray and Dodella Florence “Zona” Gilliam Gray and was the widow of Guy E. “Buster” Coffey. She retired from Wurlitzer in Holly Springs and was a member of West Tallahatchie Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11:00a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at United Funeral Service with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by four sons, Larry Coffey and wife, Ann; Sammy Coffey and wife, Barbara; Milton Coffey and wife, Holly; and Jerry Coffey and friend, Susan; her sister, Mary Fern Gaines; twelve grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Johnny Gray; and two sisters, Jimmy Jean Horn and Betty Lane Benjamin.
Pallbearers will be Todd Coffey, Shane Coffey, Trent Coffey, Bradley Coffey, Keith Coffey, Jason Coffey, Jeffrey Coffey and Chad Coffey.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 5:00p.m. till 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
