Jimmy Ervin Burleson

Jimmy Ervin Burleson, 65, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born January 24, 1953 in New Albany to Edward Ervin Burleson and Imogene McCarty.
He was a retired truck driver owner/operator and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He loved riding his side-by-side, “The Swamp Jumper” and watching football.
Funeral services will be at 1:00p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Deborah Whittington Burleson; their daughter, Allie Burleson Ashmore (Nathan) of Baldwyn and one grandson, Brody Ashmore. He also leaves several nieces and nephews; his caregivers, including Mrs. Faye Jumper; two brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; neighbors and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dorian Burleson; two sisters, Patsy Burleson Dix and her husband, Ronnie and Betty Burleson Daniel; an infant sister Diane Burleson; a nephew, Jeff Dix; and his mother and father-in-law, Violet and Carol Whittington.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 5:00p.m. till 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
