Jimmy David Hall

New Albany-Jimmy David Hall, age 70, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was born December 27, 1948, to Harold C. Hall and Lucille Phillips Hall. He was retired from Action Lane Furniture where he worked for 35 years. As a member of Union County running groups, he was known for his running all over Union County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as Military Police in Korea during Vietnam.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Grace Pointe Church of God with Marc Bowers, James B. Strange, and James “Edward” Gambill officiating. Burial will be in Wallerville Cemetery. Military honors will be provided at the gravesite. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ann Gambill Hall; a daughter, Sharon Hall Hopper (Carlos); a son, David Hall (Kelly); a foster daughter, Tasha Hall; his step mother, Fairy Lee Hall; five sisters, Judy Davis (Ronnie), Jane Smith (James), Susan Hall (Roberto), Rhonda Daniels (Bob), and Beth Johnson (Kevin); two brothers, Joey Hall (Glenda) and Randy Hall (Sherry); and six grandchildren, Huntington Hall, Kaitlyn Hopper, Colton Hall, Cayman Hopper, Paige Hall, and Dalton Hopper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerry Hall and Steve Hall; a sister, Kay Hall McLean, a foster daughter, Johnna Hall; and a foster son, Jeff Hall.
Pallbearers will be Mack McDonald, Tony Gambill, Tim Strange, Austin Hall, Ron Davis, and Mike Gregory.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Hall, Colt Hall, Cayman Hopper, Dalton Hopper, and any runners that knew Mr. Jimmy. Runners are asked to wear their running clothes and sit in reserved honorary seating.
Michael Rost, Jr., Benny Kirk, and Tyler Daniels will serve as ushers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.

In honor of Mr. Jimmy’s service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Army flag during the visitation and service.
