Museum Moments at the Union County Heritage Museum will feature the History and Culture of the Holly Spring National Forest on Thursday, April 21 at noon.
Caren Briscoe with the U. S. Forest Service will tell the stories of the 155,000 plus acres of the forest, many of which are in the western portion of Union County.
Created in 1936, the forest contains old homesteads, cemeteries and other historic sites through the approximate 250 square miles.
Museum Moments Lecture series is free and made possible by the Museum’s Community Partners. A light lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 compliments of Friends of the Library.
