Several people have asked about Mitch, the Treeing Walker Coonhound we wrote about several weeks ago.
There appeared to be no suitable local “forever home” for the handsome boy, so an ad was placed with “Rescue Me,” an internet site for pet adoptions that featured a Treeing Walker Coonhound listing. Meanwhile, Mitch went back to live with the nice lady who’d saved his life a few months ago when he fell onto the roadside as she was driving by.
Within a few weeks of the listing, Mitch had two possible homes, one in Illinois and another in Texas.
However, as happens from time to time, his rescuer decided to keep him with her and her Chihuahuas.
So now Mitch has a forever home with a lake to play in, a safe area to run free, several Chihuahuas to aggravate and a nice lady who loves him. And he certainly loves her–as well he should!
