David Lamar Steward, 87, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1931 in Union County to the late Gus Thomas and Belle Goodwin Steward. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Mohasco. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the Royal Arch Mason.

Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 with Bro. Jeff Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at Martintown Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Black Steward; four daughters, Linda Baker, Linda Galloway, Peggy McDonald and Tammy Randolph; one son, Terry McDonald; one sister Sally Ruth Whiteside; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dave Steward; and a grandson.

Pallbearers will be Sam Jordan, Wayne Treadaway, Jame Lacy Jennings, Eddie Smith, Bennie Little, Bobby Williamson, Steve Coleman and Terry Pernell.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00p.m. until service time at the church.

In honor of Mr. Steward’s service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Air Force flag during his visitation and service.
