Construction students awarded NCCER Blue Cards

Students in the Construction program at the New Albany School of Career & Technical Education received their NCCER Blue Card on October 15.

The NCCER Blue Card is an award which recognizes completion of eight modules of study that focuses on topics including safety, power tools, and construction drawings.

Students will be able to show this card to any employer to prove they have received training in the modules studied .  These students will receive credit for additional modules during the second year of the course which is Carpentry.

 NCCER Blue Card Awards were given to: Drake Ballard, East Union; Thomas Beaty, East Union; Caleb Collins, New Albany; Quiana Scott, New Albany. Also receiving awards (not pictured): Tyler Bennett, East Union; Dylan McNeal, New Albany; Dakota Smith, New Albany.
