Several hundred people brought out their lawn chairs and homemade ice cream for a 4th of July celebration on the evening of Sunday, June 28th. The Community Choir Freedom Celebration took place at the Park Along the River, on the same performance stage used for the previous evening’s Freedom Fest Celebration.
Singers and musicians from the choirs of New Albany’s First Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church and from Ingomar Baptist church were among those performing. With unseasonably cool weather, the choirs had a lovely day to perform their patriotic music, with a large American flag as their backdrop.
The music was preceeded by enjoyment of watermelon and homemade icecream.
