Billy Frank Glidewell, 85, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He was born May 21, 1932, in Dryden, AR, to Henry Glidewell and Pearl Taylor Glidewell. He was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight Truck lines. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 29, 2017 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Larry Smith and Bro. Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Bond Glidewell; a daughter, Frankie Tutor (Patrick) of Coffeeville, MS; two step-daughters, Kay Chism (Curtis) of New Albany and Patricia Bauer (Jerry) of Sandwich, IL; two sisters, Gay Tate and Joy Self both of Jonesboro, AR; five grandchildren, Katie Tutor and Amy Tutor of Coffeeville, MS, Jennifer Williamson, Brandy Russell (Chad), Heather Dowden (Greg) all of Pontotoc, MS; nineteen grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, seven great-greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Bateman Glidewell; a step-daughter, Jo Nell Casey; two brothers, Ray Glidewell and Gerald Glidewell.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at United Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Danny Rogers, Jackie Hill, Kevin Bolen, Wayne Plant, Loren Wicks, and Keith Rogers.
