Most of of the work was completed, Tuesday, Nov. 14, for the graceful new arch marking the Tanglefoot Trailhead in downtown New Albany.
The two masonry bases supporting each end of the arch had been completed a short time ago. The arch is made of aluminum. The major pieces of the structure were fabricated elsewhere and were trucked to the site. Using a crane, workmen lifted the pieces into position and welded them together Tuesday.
TV 99 produced an entertaiing time lapse video which shows the arch being assembled.
