Alexandria “Alee” Peyton Thomas

(September 3, 1998 – February 25, 2017)

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Cor. 2:9. Today this scripture has become real for our Alee.

Alexandria Peyton “Alee” Thomas, 18, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile wreck. She was born September 3, 1998 in Springdale, AR to her parents, Cliff Lee Thomas and Kimberly Moore Thomas.

Alee a child of God, daughter, sister, and friend to many was taken suddenly. A beautiful young lady about to graduate in May from Myrtle Attendance Center with aspirations to dedicate her life working with children. Alee was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was vibrant and full of life. Her presence was known the moment she walked into a room. She was the type person that could make you feel loved no matter your circumstance. Alee belonged to Harmony Baptist Church and was very active in her youth group and always willing to help out in the nursery.

Alee was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wayne Moore. Survivors include her Mom and Dad and brother, Christian Thomas. Grandparents, James and Nina Byers of New Albany, Uncle and Aunt Lance and Alison Moore and cousins Maggie, Jake, and Elizabeth Moore all from New Albany, Uncle Joshua Moore, of Tuscaloosa, Al., Uncle and Aunt John and Lisa Byers and cousins Cooper, Dylan, and Landry Dell Byers, of Myrtle and Uncle Robert Byers of Saltillo. Uncle and Aunt Brian and Stacy Reyes, of Amarillo, TX. And Aunt Michele McCall, of Showlow, AZ. and Aunt Kimberly Reyes of San Bernardino. A special Great Aunt and Uncle, Talmadge and Linda Griffin, of New Albany. A special Aunt Bob and Minerva Moore of New Albany.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Yates officiating. Visitation will also be 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Smith, Jason Kitchens, Al Dyer, Rickey Jackson, Johnny Anderson, and Brian McElroy. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Myrtle 2017 Sr. Class and will sit in reserved seating.
